Andreea Vladut is a Romanian multimedia artist based in Linz, Austria. She graduated Time-based Media from Kunstuniversität Linz, where she specialized in electronic music, audio-video installations, and performance art. Her approach to music places a strong emphasis on highlighting the intrinsic value of raw, unaltered environmental sounds. She often combines these sounds with the noise generated by DIY synthesizers and instruments or manipulates them through the materiality of various objects.

Since 2019, she has been collaborating with Florine Mougel (FR) on creating audio-visual performances and sound-narratives as part of the RGBastler collective. Additionally, for the past four years, she has been working closely with Christa Wall (AT) to explore various forms and interpretations related to the topic of grief and the profession of mourning.

In 2016, Andreea co-founded and has since been coordinating Sounds Like a Book, a residency program that fosters and supports research and experimental interdisciplinary artistic production in the realm of self-publishing design and sound art for emerging artists. The program adopts a workshop-based structure.

In 2023, she collaborated with Gabriela Gordillo to curate the festival-program of Sound Campus, a format hosted by Kunstuniversität Linz. This initiative provides students and performers with a platform to exchange and share their work with a broader audience.

She has performed and exhibited in Romania, Serbia, Austria, France, Norway, Germany, Finland, and Poland. Currently, she serves as an assistant professor in the Time-based Media department at Kunstuniversität Linz.
